      Title LS Cable & System donates KRW100 million to Sejong City, including ‘Food Packs to Overcome COVID-19’

      LS C&S (President & CEO, Roe-hyun Myung) announced on April 28 that it would donate KRW 100 million to Sejong City through Community Chest of Korea to help overcome COVID-19 and sponsor social welfare facilities.
       
      Park, Jeong-Il, CEO of Sejong Cable, a subsidiary of LS C&S, Lee, Choon-Hee, Mayor of Sejong City, Hong, Yeong-Seop, president of Sejong Community Chest of Korea, etc. were present at the ceremony held in Sejong City Hall on April 28.
       
      The donation will be used to support the ‘Food Pack Project to Overcome COVID-19’, which provides food and daily necessities to senior citizens living alone and low-income families, who are feared to go without meals due to the closing of welfare facilities.
       
      LS C&S became associated with Sejong City last year after acquiring the assets of S-1 Tech (currently Sejong Cable), a bankrupt cable maker, and reviving operations. Last November, Sejong Cable hired about 50 people, including about 20 former employees, and began normal operations.
       
      LS C&S has been continuously providing support for the underprivileged as well as human resource development in the surrounding communities where it has business sites, such as Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do and Donghae, Gangwon-do, and has also been conducting electrical safety inspections of local traditional markets.
